Couch Re-sowing Program 2022

2021 saw the first stages of the Tee rejuvenation program. Many thanks to Ian 'Pazza' Parry, Ian Solyom, and Jayden Welch, for devising the initial program for these work rejuvenation plan. Special thanks to Pazza, Hoggy, Nashy & Bert for their labour in and around the tee grounds since that time.

Now in 2023, we are starting to see marked improvement on the tee grounds after renovations works had been completed on the 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 12th 15th and the back tee on 18 closed permanently.

Our fairways started to receive some remedial works from September 2022, as extensive line planting took place on many bare areas of fairways.  Sections of the following fairways were completed. Holes 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 16 & 17.  In addition all of holes 14 & 15 were line planted.  Couch sprigs were harvested from the Town Oval.  Thanks to the generosity and expertise of Lawn & Turf Maintenance (Mick 'Macca' McMahon & Damian McMahon) and under trying conditions we were able to complete much more renovation than originally anticipated.

Also a special mention again and thanks to all involved on the Committee led by Chris Spencer as President, greenkeeper Phil Taylor, and all the many volunteers from the grounds committee / crew who helped sand and water the couch sprigs. Our Volunteers are the heart and soul of our club, and we again thank them.

The timing of the couch re-sowing was very good, as we have also continued to install new sprinklers through-out the course through these past 3 years

Time lapse of the aerial view of the course since 2010.  There will be more aerial views coming in 2023 and there should be amazing contrast in the colour of the fairways.
